Carey’s practice concentrates in the area of civil litigation, including insurance defense, business and commercial litigation, workers compensation law, personal injury, product liability, and divorce. Carey has been practicing law for over 25 years, and was a partner for many years with Morrison Mahoney LLP, a nationally recognized regional trial firm of over 160 lawyers. Carey has tried over 50 jury cases in state and federal courts, in cases ranging from workplace accidents, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, closed head injuries, traumatic injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, and death.
In addition to his trial work, Carey has presented lectures on various legal topics before trade associations, insurance companies, and lawyer groups, and has been published in professional journals. He also was an adjunct faculty member at the College of the Holy Cross, and coached its mock trial teams which won national awards.
Carey is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, and a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where he was a member of its Law Review. He is admitted to practice before all of the state courts in Massachusetts, and the United States District Court.
